Give Them What They Want, Not What You Want To Give Them

The Secret Sauce is In Need Fullfillment

I finally figured out what holds many people back and until recently my own self. It’s one simple word EGO.

Ya, that’s right. Let me ask you a question. With all the world class Network Marketing trainers out there. What is it that you have to ADD to the marketplace in that niche?

We hear the word “value” being thrown around an whole bunch. So, what is really YOUR value to the market place?

If you want to learn copy writing for instance and you ask me…

There was a time not so long ago where I would take the opportunity to puke all my knowledge on copy writing on you. The thing is, I do actually have a fair share of knowledge on the topic; but I am by NO MEANS a master copywriter.

I would have been much better to leverage the skills of those who actually ARE.

Why not?

They will pay me handsomely to do so.

They have already filled the need in the market. Now, don’t get me wrong I am not saying that you should not learn to master copy writing…but if you take that on, go and learn from a Master. While you are at it, see if there is a way to leverage the Master.

Huh?

Let me illustrate this for you.

Joe Schroeder is one of my mentors and is a Master Copywriter and is also big time in the mindset arena. Why would I ever even pretend to be a master of either?

You see, I know Joe has integrity. I know I can just send people directly to him, that is my only job there at this time.

Others will pretend. I will just refer. That is my place in that particular marketplace.

They will value me and thank me for sending them to Joe. It does not diminish me in any way as a leader. People who think that it does need to do an ego check. I know I have a lot to offer in other areas. I am not the master of all things.

Now let’s take home based business. How many more Network Marketing Coaches does the market really need?

If you decide to be one of those leaders, let me clue you in. Unless you have something “valueable” to ADD to the marketplace in that arena, your working inside of the wrong box.

That is exactly why you may be struggling. You have not found your place.

You’re like a 6 year old kid playing Star Wars and Pretending to be a Jedi Knight.

Why?

Maybe your Yoda told you to use the force!

Listen…

Yoda said USE the force, that does not make you a Jedi Master.

The point is you don’t need to even be a master to kill off a few enemy storm troopers. You just need some basic skills.

The mistake I see most people making in the Home Based Business arena is they are trying to fight the vastly Dark forces of someone like Darth Vader and actually getting in the way of the Obi Wans.

You got a light saber but you’re not a master. Go find the marketplace that you can slay armed with your tools while you learn to become a Yoda!

That will keep you alive long enough to face the Vaders of the marketing world later.

If you go too early you face certain quick death.

They might even let you live long enough to toy with you until they are ready to slash your throat.

Read between the lines and you will see much wisdom in this post.

An Entrepreneur is one who fulfills a need in the marketplace.

    Scott,

I too love Joe–he provides so much value a lot of times in a single word or sentence.

From experience when people find their place they usually shine!

    Thanks for sharing your value.
