How Can You Go Forward Without Planning?

It is so easy to get caught up in wanting to demonstrate all of our marketing knowledge.

That does not always mean that we will be successful in our efforts.

I like to reflect back on all of my mistakes in order to ensure a more successful future. I have had my fair share of success. The cost of that was even a higher rate of failure.

One of the biggest reasons for my past failures has been due to lack of planning. I admit it. I get crazy excited about an idea and just go around puking everything about it all at once without having any sort of plan.

A clear and concise laid out plan is one of the biggest things that has helped me achieve many of my goals.

You see, working without a plan just does not make any sense. I know I have been there, and I wonder why I used to spend half the day figuring out what it was I was going to do for the day concerning my business?

Which Goes First, the Foundation or the Roof?

If you were building a brick and mortar business you would probably start by picking a location. Then you would lay out the foundation.

It would not make sense to build the roof first would it?

Well, you can’t do either of these unless your first have a plan.

Why do you think your home business would be any different?

It’s really not.

So before you just jump into the idea of

I am going to make money on the internet…

figure out a strategy first. What is going to be your daily method of operation?

What kind of content are you going to create? When are you going to create it?

How are you going to drive traffic to your content?

How many people do you need to talk to on a daily basis to reach your goals.

Consider all of these things then lay out a step by step plan of action for yourself.

Follow it for 90 days and you should be somewhere near getting the results you expected based on your plan.

If NOT, that is actually ok. Don’t beat yourself up. You are certainly closer than you would have been without a plan, now all you have to do is adjust your plan to hit your next goals.

Goals are achieved one step at a time, do your planning the same way! With a little discipline you WILL get there.

To your success,

Scott Manesis
