Why Is It That So Many People Don’t Reach Their Goals?
Everybody has goals in life they would like to accomplish. The truth is most people never achieve a very large percentage of their goals.
Why is that?
It is my belief that many people just do not focus on the steps required to achieve their big goals.
In Marketing the goal is to obviously get more people to be interested in your product or service.
One might set a huge goal of ” I am going to be a successful Marketer”. To me, that is not really a very well defined goal. My question is “How are you going to do that?’.
You need to lay out a plan and break your big goal into smaller goals.
If you have a goal of making a million dollars a year in your home business, that is achievable but you have to be able to make one hundred dollars before you can make a thousand.
You need a plan of action that will help you to achieve your goals.
In football the object of the game is to obviously win. What has to happen to win? The team has to move the ball down the field until they get to the goal line and make that touchdown.
To make that happen they have to focus on one play at a time, one yard at a time. Every yard they advance is one step closer to getting that touchdown. They know they have 4 attempts to move ten yards in a positive direction.
Notice they don’t focus on the whole 100 yards? They concentrate on advancing 10 yards at a time.
This is what you should do in your home business as well.
The big goals you set can actually overwhelm you to the point of taking little or no action to achieve your goals.
Do This:
Break it down into smaller and more manageable goals that you know you can reach with a little work. Once you reach that first goal then it becomes easier to move on to the next marker.
You will be amazed how quickly you will accomplish your goals when you break them down into smaller goals and set up a play book of the actions you are going to take to reach those micro sized goals.
With every small goal you reach you will feel a sense of accomplishment. That feeling of accomplishment will help you to strive harder to reach the next goal.
Before you know it, you will actually be making progress and your goals will be getting accomplished. Then you can raise the bar and challenge yourself to work harder and stretch your goals further.
This works in any business. This will work with any method you choose to promote your business.
